In Rural India the profession of vegetable vending is dominated by women. For generating self empowerment support their family to improve their standard of living, they face many problem physically and mentally. Vending involves enormous physical labour which causes problem like neck pain, shoulder pain, leg pain, headache, dehydration, dizziness and many more which can lead severe health problem in later life.
Design Brief - To design easily carriable kit for vegetable vendors of rural india which can provide them, transportation, sitting, shelter, portability and security.

Saathi means companion, a support system which help vegetable vendor of rural india to deal with their daily life problem like transportation, shelter, floor sitting, and every day inconvience. The product focus upon building sustainable affordable kit, which can easily developed and repaired in village itself by local bamboo craftmen. This will provide employment in diminishing craft community.
